**UPDATE**
June 20, 2010--We still have antelope hunts and tags available for the 2010
season! Please call Brad at 307-334-2309 or email info@rockin7ranch.com
to talk over the specifics.
Antelope
hunting at the Rockin' 7 Ranch is one of our favorite hunts. Wyoming is well known
for its huge population of antelope, and the Rockin' 7 Ranch is a perfect example.
Freely roaming herds of 20-30 antelope continuously
speckle the hillsides of our
105,000 acres of private land. We look over one herd, if you don't find what you
like, we move over the hill and glass the next herd.
This is also a great hunt for kids because of the large numbers of antelope that
we will see in a day. No slow times, if you stop to glass you will probably be
able to see antelope some where. Antelope
are also fun to hunt because of the distances here in Wyoming. Distance is deceiving
and some shots can really test your skill. Most times we can eventually get stalked
to within 200 yards for a clean shot.
Hunters
must put in for a license, but drawing success has been 100% for the last 10 years.
We even have left over tags so you can still get a buck license right up until
hunt time. Our
guided hunts are designed to give the hunter the best opportunity to harvest a
trophy. Our mule deer and antelope hunting are the heart of the operation. The
wild populations are dense and outside hunting pressure is kept to a minimum to
allow Rockin' 7 Ranch guests the best there is when it comes to fair chase hunting! We
also offer archery antelope hunts. We have elavated blinds over water holes and
trail crossings. Typical shot distance is 20 to 45 yards. We add an additional
night lodging to the antelope hunts at no extra charge just to give you extra
time in the field.
If
you fill your antelope tag early, you can hunt pheasant, prairie dogs, or coyotes
at no additional charge. Just our way of making sure you have a total hunting
EXPERIENCE with the Rockin' 7 Ranch! Needed:
If you are a solo hunter and would like to save the $300 solo hunt charge, I have
another solo hunter arriving Oct. 15, hunting the 16,17,18 and departing after
lunch on the 18--you would still have a room to yourself, but on the actual hunt
you would be with another guy from Alaska--total price $2,450. Please mention
this hunt in your email if you are interested. Brad |
