Antelope
hunting at the Rockin' 7 Ranch is one of our favorite hunts. Wyoming is well known
for its huge population of antelope, and the Rockin' 7 Ranch is a perfect example.
Numerous, freely roaming herds of antelope continuously
speckle the hillsides of our
200 square miles of private land. We look over one herd, if you don't find what you
like, we move over the hill and glass the next herd.
This is also a great hunt for kids because of the large numbers of antelope that
we will see in a day. No slow times, if you stop to glass you will probably be
able to see antelope some where.
Antelope
are also fun to hunt because of the distances here in Wyoming. Distance is deceiving
and some shots can really test your skill. Most times we can eventually get stalked
to within 200 yards for a clean shot.
Hunters
must put in for a license. We typically just gather all your info, and then we take care of the paperwork to get you in for the drawing. Antelope tags are getting harder to draw in our area.
March 15 is the deadline to get a Wyoming Antelope tag. Our
guided hunts are designed to give the hunter the best opportunity to harvest a
trophy. Our mule deer and antelope hunting are the heart of the operation. The
wild populations are dense and outside hunting pressure is kept to a minimum to
allow Rockin' 7 Ranch guests the best there is when it comes to fair chase hunting!
If
you fill your antelope tag early, you can hunt prairie dogs or coyotes
at no additional charge. Just our way of making sure you have a total hunting
EXPERIENCE with the Rockin' 7 Ranch! Hunting
