Youth
In Hunting Stories and pictures
of our next generation Here
at the Rockin' 7 Ranch, we know the value of kids and youth participating in hunting
and other outdoor activities. With this in mind, we decided to dedicate a page
to anybody that has a story and picture of a youth under 16 years old participating
in hunting or fishing--anywhere in the world. Just drop us an email at info@rockin7ranch.com
and we'll get it posted. |
Maria
shot this coyote at 40 yards with a .243 Savage she just received for Christmas.
"She was
shaking with excitement and I was very much afraid she was going to miss it but
I told her to remain calm. Maria put her cross sticks up and squeezed the trigger
dropping the dog with a shot to the neck. She jumped up and down and was very
much excited." Maria is 11 years old and on her way to be a great hunter.

recently shot this big bear. She used her 243 to shoot it with a one shot kill
in the neck. She is 12 years old and continues to chalk up kills on game. I am
sending the newspaper article as well and some pictures. The fish & Game here
said it weighed in at 410 lbs and stood 6'4. She is having a full standing body
mount on it. The Fish & Game say it might be a state record for her age here in
Idaho. Wow!!
Congratulations Maria, I can't wait to see what that .243 harvests next! Thanks
for the pictures Lauren. | | | In
this photo released by Melynne Stone, Jamison Stone, 11, poses with a wild pig
he killed near Delta, Ala., May 3, 2007. Stone's father says the hog weighed a
staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the
base of its tail. If claims of the animal's size are true, it would be larger
than ``Hogzilla,'' the huge hog killed in Georgia in 2004. (AP Photo/Melynne Stone)

for the picture Sam--please let me know how the coyote hunting turns out. | | Hi
Guys: Yes she did it again. After drawing for Antelope this year she took this
Antelope on 9-28-2007 in Southern Idaho. She took this animal with her Savage
243 with 100 grain soft tips. She pretty much cleaned the Antelope by her self
as that is the way she wanted it. She is 12 years old and drew for Elk which is
open in a couple of weeks. She will be using a 270 for the Elk. Lets hope she
is this lucky again when it comes to elk. Thanks. Lauren Ha--I
had no doubt Did you crack an elk Maria? | |
